my valentine.
sort of had a pre-valentine's day celebration with wynne, rab, sam and peiyen yesterday at bugis, and it really was quite fun. wynne and sam were both nice enough to prepare gifts for everyone, but being totally absent-minded and dense as usual i didn't get anything ready so i felt so awful accepting their gifts. sam gave each of us a rose, which was so much more expensive than usual since it was so close to the actual day itself so i felt even worse about not preparing anything. i don't have a picture of it because i really followed sam's instructions and i've been hanging the rose upside-down, so now it's a little brown and all and wouldn't look nice in a picture.

wynne got me floppy from action city. and since floppy hasn't become brown because i haven't been hanging him upside-down, here's a picture.
he's really cute, isn't he? now he joins my mound of plush toys on my bed. thanks wynne! (:
we had dinner at this japanese restaurant in bugis junction, and the food was pretty good. i had omelette soba, wynne had kakiage soba, rab had cold ramen which kind of looked a little like salad, peiyen had charsiew ramen and sam had yakiniku bento. wynne has got pictures on her blog, so if you're really interested in how the food looked like for some strange reason or another (although i'd suggest you not look at it if you're hungry) you can go and look at it there.
after dinner sam, wynne and rab turned into insanse teenage girls and literally dragged peiyen and i to pretty in tokyo for neoprints. i always seem to end up doing insanely embarassing things around sam haha. like the last time, when we went to do rab's thing (for which i'm really sorry that i forgot to bring) and we had to sit in chairs already almost too small for us because they were meant for small kids, sigh. and it wasn't my first time really, haha, because i have other insanse friends in the form of mingshuan and liyun who also have this obsession with neoprints although in recent years i think that obsession has died down. but i suppose it was pretty... memorable.
after all that we went off home, and rab and i decided to get famous amos cookies for the rest for vday gifts since neither of us had prepared any. so we got a big message cookie for each of them! i'm so sorry again for not having gotten anything else for you guys okay. i wasn't even thinking the gathering was a pre-valentine's day thing. anyhow, i'm glad we had the outing because it was really fun.
so, valentine's day is today and everyone is out celebrating except my brother and i. my brother's just home because his date happens to be his computer and i'm at home because i got 4 nice, thick books from the library yesterday so i can be a hermit and stay at home for the week, waiting for phone calls from potential employers. therefore, CALL ME, POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS! haha talk about being shameless and desperate, huh.
and ahhhh huiyi will strangle me and if she doesn't i will strangle myself i totally forgot to email the sponsors after i typed out the letters. okay i will go do it now, instead of wasting my time being here blogging.
